“Forgotten Rose” draws inspiration from the dramatic life of France’s last queen, Mary Antoinette.
The Palace of Versailles was once her private stage, where she was deeply pampered and displayed remarkable grace. She was the most carefree woman in all of France, but also the most extravagant. People judged her for her capriciousness, yet none could deny her charm. She embodied the most opulentroses of the Rococo era, innocent and romantic, free-spirited, but still burdened by the weight of the crown.
On the night before Louis XVI was led to the guillotine, he tenderly said to his beloved queen, "I will come up to see you tomorrow at seven in the morning." That night, the queen was imprisoned alone in the Temple of the Knights, enduring a long and sleepless night. In the silent darkness, countless magnificent balls seemed a world away. She was like a rose forgotten in the shadows,silently withering. The entire world had abandoned her.
"Only in misfortune,you truly know who you are.“ When forgotten by the world, She said proudly.
